Expertise in using these systems does not exist yet. That's what we're trying to define.
My name is Dr. Yamicia Connor. I'm an OB-GYN. I practice medicine, and I run a medical company.
These tools are on your phone and in your doctor's hands right now. Every operator, every CEO, every person running a company who intends to, or has even thought about, using these tools in their system should be doing exactly what I'm doing: trying to understand what are the risks, what are the benefits, what are the implications, where does it fail. This is the only ethical way of bringing a new technology in.
We've been developing a taxonomy and creating a pedagogy to teach people how to use these systems. If even a small fraction of the economic disruption that has been predicted comes to pass, we are deeply concerned about widening economic inequality, and about the lack of attention, or even deliberate thought, given to how to prevent it. We are committed to showing women and communities of color how to use these tools to build solutions that empower rather than exploit and consume.
